How we handle your details
1. Who is responsible
The petition "A Day for Peace" is run by Den pro mír. We decide what is collected and why, and we are responsible for it. You can reach us through the kontaktní stránka.
2. What we collect
When you sign, we store what you enter in the form:
- your full name and your email address;
- a username, if you choose one;
- your phone number, if you give it;
- your address, if you give it;
- the picture of your identity document, or your note that you are underage and have no ID yet;
- your comment, if you write one.
We also record the date and time of your signature, the version of this policy you agreed to, the language you used, the IP address your signature came from, and the type of browser used. These help us detect duplicate or automated signatures.
3. Why we collect it
- To record your support for the petition and count it.
- To confirm that each signature belongs to a real, distinct person, which is what the picture of your ID is for.
- To contact you about this petition if we need to, for example to confirm your signature or to tell you what became of the petition.
- To show your comments and replies in Your word, the discussion on this site.
- To send you the confirmation email, and login links when you ask for them.
- To protect the petition against abuse, and to meet legal obligations if they arise.
We use your details for this petition.
4. The legal basis
We process your details because you agree to it when you tick the box and send the form. You can withdraw that agreement at any time (see section 8), and your signature is removed with it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your details po celou dobu, kdy je petice aktivní, a dalších 12 měsíců po jejím ukončení. After that we delete them. If you withdraw your signature earlier, we delete your details then.
The picture of your identity document is kept for as long as it is needed to confirm your signature, within the period above.
6. Who can see it
Your details are stored on a server controlled by Den pro mír. The people who run the petition are the ones with access to them. The company that hosts the server stores the data on our behalf.
Comments and replies you write are published on the Your word page of this site, with your name, or the username you chose, and the date. Everything else stays private. When the petition is presented, we may tell the bodies it is addressed to how many confirmed signatures it has and show them the names of supporters. Your email address, phone number, address and the picture of your ID stay with us; a legal duty would be the one reason to hand them over.
This site is served entirely from our own server.
7. How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Details are stored outside the public web folder, with access limited to the people who run the petition. Pictures of identity documents are stored under random file names, reachable by the people who run the petition.
8. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw your signature. Write to us through the kontaktní stránka from the email address you signed with. We answer within 30 days. If you think we handle your details wrongly, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
9. Cookies and browser storage
This site sets up to three cookies. One protects the forms against forged submissions and disappears when you close your browser. One remembers the language you chose, for one year. When you log in, a third keeps you logged in for 30 days. If you use the accessibility menu, your choices are saved in your own browser. All of these serve the site itself.
10. Age
Signing is open from the age of 3. A signature by someone younger is removed.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we publish the new version here with a new date. Each signature records the version that was agreed to.
